Spring in Piacenza Cashmere fabrics
The Burcina Park Nature Reserve is a historic garden that was created in 1840 thanks to Giovanni Piacenza , a frequent traveler and botany enthusiast, was so captivated by the style of eighteenth-century English gardens that he decided to purchase the Burcina hill to create a natural park that over the years has become a true gem in the Biella area .
Sequoias, White Pines, and Atlas Cedars were the first trees to inhabit this area, which, thanks to the artistic passion of Giovanni's son, Felice, was later enriched by including some areas that are still considered focal points of the park today: the picturesque sequoia lake and the rhododendron valley.

Felice 's skill in making this park a natural oasis of tranquility earned him the park's name .
Enzo Piacenza, Felice's son, also played an important role, donating the new entrance to the park and replanting some areas of the park destroyed by the Fohn in 1967. It was also Enzo who honored his father Felice Piacenza by having a bronze bust erected.
Today, Felice Piacenza Park is a 57-hectare protected area owned by the municipality of Biella, which acquired it in 1935. The Piedmont Region protects and enhances this park, also through cultural and educational activities at the headquarters of the institution currently chaired by Guido.
The different areas of the reserve create, in the spring season , a landscape characterised by a great variety of colours which are an important source of inspiration for the creation of the precious Alashan Fantasy fabrics.
These fine fabrics , characterised by a composition known as an “intimate blend” , a refined combination of silk, linen and cashmere , are used by connoisseurs of the tailoring world to create excellent quality solutions , in particular, elegant jackets.

The very flowering of the rhododendron valley with its splashes of colour ranging from red to lilac , combined with the presence of many other plants and shrubs in the park (including magnolias, ancient roses, beech trees, cypresses, chestnut trees, maples and cherry trees) bring to mind the colours of these fine fabrics, among the most appreciated of Piacenza Cashmere.
The brilliance of the colours given by the silk , the “flame” of the linen and the hand of the cashmere give life to unique fabrics, which tell the story of the Burcina Park nature reserve .
