The new Piacenza Cashmere fabrics inspired by exotic literary locations
2018 brings new additions to the fabrics range from Lanificio Fratelli Piacenza . Two fresh, summery varieties have been added to the offering: Cabo Blanco and Cartagena . The Piacenza Cashmere Spring/Summer 2019 collection draws inspiration from these two exotic South American locations , a source of inspiration for two Nobel Prize winners in literature. The collection was previously presented at the recently concluded 26th edition of Milano Unica and will be on display at Première Vision in Paris from February 13th to 15th .
Cartagena fabric

Inspired by the city of the same name on the Caribbean coast of Colombia : its colours inspired the creation of a fresh wool, silk and linen fabric suitable for the hot and humid temperatures of this pearl where Gabriel Garcia Marquez lived for several years and set his most famous novel “100 Years of Solitude” .
Cabo Blanco Fabric

Cabo Blanco, a fishing village in northern Peru that inspired Ernest Hemingway 's novel "The Old Man and the Sea." The fabric evokes this exotic location thanks to the two yarns used. The white color , the Hopsack weave , and the irregularity of the frisetted pure silk yarn give it a pleasantly rustic look, while the pure combed cashmere creates a luxurious, fresh, and lightweight feel.
In addition to these new products, Lanificio Fratelli Piacenza offers a wide selection of fabrics that are chosen every year by many of the most important fashion houses and ateliers .
